I NEVER THOUGHT A LITTLE PIECE OF PAPER COULD MEAN SO MUCH TO US.
Exactly 20 weeks since Eli's adoption was finalized, we received his official birth certificate in the mail last night!!! You have no idea the emotion we experienced seeing our names on this legal, binding document that he'll have for the rest of his life that listed Sam and I as his TRUE PARENTS; FOREVER his mommy and daddy. Makes me tear up just to say it again.
We waiting so long to see this paper, especially since we were supposed to receive it 4-6 weeks after adoption. Another example of how accurate and reliable our courts are. We actually had to involve our attorney again to get it cleared up and released. Regardless, we're so happy to have it now.
