We are so lucky to live in an area where we can raise our son watching all sorts of
awesome wildlife! (Some not so awesome, like the coons and fox that eat our chickens.)
Our deer population has been growing rapidly and getting braver, as you can see from these pictures. She is trying to get into our cattle pen, which is very close to the house, so she can eat the hay. That gravel you see is our driveway.
We recently got to watch 4 large bucks fighting in our front hay pasture. So cool!!! Then, we came home to this little surprise...
... twin spotted fawns greeting us as we drove in our driveway!! They weren't even afraid! We've seen them a couple time before but were never able to get this close to them. They are so cute to watch froliking in our pasture!
We also have a killdeer nest in our driveway... our neighbor might think we're crazy because we are driving in the pasture to leave the nest alone. ha ha... yeah, we're a little crazy. But look how pretty these eggs are.
Ok, so I finish with a new picture of our crazy little puppy. He's found a new "perch" on our front porch and sits there and watches Eli eat (it's the dining room window). He can jump from the porch to the chair to the table. We should've named him Froggy.
