Thanksgiving

I was surprised by the lack of pictures I took this year, but here are a couple.

Eli and I "baked" together Thanksgiving morning while watching the parade.  Eli had his own whisk and a ball of pastry dough... which he later tried to eat raw, YUCK!

And here is my attempt to capture a picture of him sitting still and looking good...

We are turkey'd out until next year - a Thanksgiving dinner 3 days in a row was a bit much for us but it was all delicious and fun.  Now... onward to Christmas!!

Post from November 9th

This is the fatal ending to a peanut butter sandwich which is eaten under minimal supervision... look at your own risk!

As you can see, the sandwich was THOROUGHLY enjoyed and I (mom) got to clean up the aftermath.

Adoption Answer Update #2

Again, not much to report.  Our update was short and sweet via email this morning.  I have copied and pasted it below:

Update: You guys were shown 3 times this month no final decisions yet from those birthmoms... I'll tell you they are all west coast- praying and I'll let you know asap.

We'll probably have a phone update next month if not sooner:)

Hugs
Ashlene

Not our time yet - and that's ok.

HALLOWEEN 2012

I must begin this post with a trip down memory lane...
Can you believe this was our little lion one year ago??!!

Halloween 2011

This year was so much more fun trick-or-treating!  He did really good at our work places but didn't really enjoy the evening trunk-or-treating in our church parking lot.  (Frankly, I don't blame him... WIERD people come out on Halloween night!)  He learned to say "boo" and "twicker-tweet" and caught on real quick that if you look cute and hold your basket out, people give you candy and goodies!!  The child is obsessed with dum-dum suckers... I kept trying to get him to take the good stuff (since I wanted to eat it after Halloween) but he just wouldn't do it.

Here are some pictures taken by my mom the day before Halloween in a new shirt that Great-Grandma got him:

And here is our cute little bat on Halloween:

Flappin' his wings
Here is little man's loot - which Mommy and Daddy are trying to polish off as quickly as possible!

A couple more camping photos...

Probably one of the coolest (no pun intended) family photos we've ever taken!  Too bad Lee is missing...

And I'm pretty sure this one is going to be in our Christmas cards since it is almost never that you find a picture of all three of us smiling and looking at the camera (a minor miracle!).
