Happy Father's Day 2013

I am so thankful that I had a wonderful dad growing up and I knew what to look for in a husband that could also be a good daddy too.  THANK YOU TO MY DAD!  Sam has not disappointed me one bit... in fact, he blows me away with how wonderful of a dad he is!  I love you so much, Sam, and I can't wait to grow old with you and watch our kid(s) grow up.

He was so proud of making this for Daddy.

Driving Lessons Needed!!

On Tuesday, we surprised Eli by bringing home his first set of wheels... Power Wheels Jeep Rubicon, that is.  I've never seen him so excited by a toy!!  I had trouble getting him in the house the first night and every day since then "Can I ride my Jeep?" has been the first words out of his mouth the second he wakes up and every chance he gets throughout the day.  Unfortunately, his driving is terrible and his ability to steer is non-existent... but he'll soon get the hang of it (I hope!).

Already headed out to check cows...

New Undies...

OK, I KNOW I SHOULDN'T AND I KNOW HE'LL BE MAD AT ME WHEN HE'S OLDER FOR THIS.... BUT IT'S SOOOOOO DARN CUTE!!!!!

Eli is doing really well with potty training (on certain days) so we went ahead and bought him some training pants.  Last weekend (June 9th), he lasted almost 3 hours without having an accident.  He was so incredibly proud of himself and it shows in the photos.

The smile tells all...

I also asked why we were not the featured family as we were previously told we would be to which I was told that featured families are chosen in order of when you signed with the program.  I'm not sure how that can be (I've been keeping track) but I guess it'll happen when it happens...

Oklahoma Weekend Trip

The past weekend, Thursday through Sunday, we traveled to western OK to see "Aunt" Sandi and attend her brother's wedding.  It was so great to see everyone and spend time catching up, relaxing and having fun.

Aunt Sandi with her friends, Shellie and Bill

Bride and Groom ~ Venezuelan tradition is to dress up in crazy costumes and party!

We took Eli to a splash park on Saturday and forgot his swim suit.  Regardless, he was soaked and having a great time!!  He even got Aunt Sandi to get out there with him!

On our way home on Sunday, we stopped at the Tulsa Zoo and spent a couple hours there.  He seemed to enjoy it and it was nice for us to get out of the car and walk for a while.

Where did May go??

Ok, so I know I am behind in my blogging…  Here are a few I missed:

May 25th – first time filling up the pool for summer!  I think Eli got more water outside the pool than inside, but had fun doing it.

BRRRRRRR!!!!!

May 26th – first time this year to Roaring River as a family.  We left right after church, had a picnic in the park, played on the swings, did a little “fishing”, and playing in the water.  It was nice and hot that day so the cold spring water felt so good!  Eli’s version of fishing was to take the worm off the hook and throw it to the fish.

Finishing up lunch, readying the poles....

Yup, he's ready!

Tuckered out!

Throwing rocks was super fun!
